• No unnecessary accounts: The app works without requiring user accounts

What We Do Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to provide the service:

Document Compilation

When you compile a document, your content is sent to our servers for LaTeX processing. This data:

• Is processed in a temporary, isolated environment
• Is immediately deleted after the PDF is generated
• Is never stored, logged, or retained

Support Requests

If you contact support, we collect your email address and message content to respond to your inquiry. This information is used solely for support purposes.

Server Logs

Basic server logs (IP addresses, request times) may be temporarily retained for security and debugging purposes. These logs are automatically purged and are never used for tracking or profiling.

Local Processing

Aquila processes as much as possible locally on your device. Your documents, settings, and preferences are stored on your device and are never transmitted to our servers except during compilation.

Data Security

All data transmitted to our servers uses TLS encryption. Our compilation servers are isolated and do not retain any user data. We follow security best practices to protect our infrastructure.

Third-Party Services

Aquila does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service we use is for app distribution through the Apple App Store, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Aquila is designed for academic use and may be used by students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be announced through the app or website. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
